"Ask the right questions if you're going to find the right answers."
Vanessa Redgrave
I had a really interesting conversation a few days ago. It was with a friend I hadn't met in a few years. We were catching up over dinner and naturally, he asked "What do you do these days?" "Making games" didn't quite capture the totality of it so I replied, "I collect questions." I was struck by how apt that statement is. Questions drive gameplay in Smol Tok. And as I stumble upon, collect, and categorise them as part of the design, I find myself deeply reflecting on some of these questions myself. This whole life-giving process is what defines my role in building Smol Tok. I think I will lead with that now when the topic comes up again in conversation, "I collect questions." So here's a question for you: What do you do?
